yesterday, i downloaded coop or die. i installed it. everything works fine and stuff.

but if i wanna play listening to musik it doesent work, even when i try talkin with a friend over teamspeak while playing does not work. as soon as i or he enters the game, the voice in/output and the music stops.

that a bug or is it a prob with our pc's?

would be nice if anyone had an idea.

Hi overseer,

Maybe you should try some other Quake2 engines like EGL, R1Q2 or Quake2XP. The sound is handled by the engine, some of them may have different ways to handle it.
Inform us if you found a solution ;)

wow thanks pat!
i've download the EGL engine, now it works fine and it supports additional sound output like subwoofers and stuff. :innocent:
you only have to go to the sound menu and turn "max compatibility" on and there it goes!

but another question, do i have to run the engine with the coopordie.bat file? if yes, how do i do that? :?:

thanks again.

You can read more info about modifying the copordie.bat file here. For changing the engine used, replace quake2.exe by EGL.exe or Quake2xp.exe ...

LoL.. you just need to put the sound to max compatibility =D (google it..) That happened to keeshu and that's the solution.

Isn't a bug/problem.. Is a feature: Better game sound, max compatibility.
