Post MyProject2011: a new feature in a weekend
This weekend, there is a special event on the French website www.developpez.net. In short, it is a sort of speed gamedev session. Every developer who wants to participate will create a game during the weekend, chats with other developers and releases his work Sunday at midnight.
It is the same type of event I have participated last year: A Unity mini game in a weekend.

But this year, in place of using engine, tools and assets to create a mini-game in a weekend, I will use my existing game to create a new feature in a weekend.

So, stay tuned, I will soon update this message with more infos.

Acid sea with tide, ground aliens hovering on acid sea, acid sea damaging the gunship, challenging waves of aliens, "defend the pump" game mode ...etc.

Looks impressive. Huge army of enemies shooting around looked cool aready :D I have no idea where are the enemies spawning at... maybe some sort of radar or a alarm when enemy is closing your building would be good.

The other thing i dont really get is how do you get hurt by acid at any height you are over it? if you fly all the way to the ceiling of the map you cant see that acid anymore but you can get hurt from it.

I also noticed sort of target appearing on enemies when you look at them.
I'ts really small area so you see the target only for half second before you got off the enemy and when your bullets only fly straight line you have to shoot in front of them anyways. Maybe its planned for homing missiles or showing enemy the info?

You really have gone a long way since you started. Everything has been pretty much expressed by the other two, though I didn't check if I got hurt by acid.

I like the new laser sight, but I find it hard to aim with only that. The enemies also took their time in arriving, but they did.. and it was fun to see them getting messed up by the acid going up and down.

The aiming really needs to be improved and the acid sea damage is just a first try, I'm sure it can be improved.
