Post troubleshooting, please help :)
hey I copied the game to another computer from this one, quake2 works, quake2max works, but when i try to boot coopordie with quake2max, it opens up a high res windowed version with a gray screen and then crashes.

what i think it is is that the settings of coopordie are on high resolution, I do get crashes when i set quake2max to an incompatible resolution.
is there somewhere i can configure the resolution before booting coopordie?

or do you think the problem lies elsewhere...?

thanks in advance.

Quake2Max create a text file named maxconfig.cfg in your coopordie directory. You can open this file with the notepad and search for gl_mode and vid_fullscreen.

gl_mode = index of the resolution from the ingame video menu (generally, 0 for 320x240, ... 4 for 800x600 ...etc.)
vid_fullscreen = "1" for fullscreen and "0" for windowed

Change these value like below and you will have a 640x480 window that will allow you to select more easily the resolution you want from the video menu.
Code:
set gl_mode "3"
set vid_fullscreen "0"

It's probably because the "coopordie" directory is on the wrong place or the parameter "+set game coopordie" parameter is missing on the command line launching Quake2.

Look at the guide, it could help.
