The best way to get past the lasers is without even getting close to that area.
Personally, I prefer to clear all the lever up to the scanner which activates the lasers, and then go back and go for a swim. There´s a tube in which you can enter the facility without any problems. There is a sup shotgun, a chaingun, and machinegun, so if anyone is going to play in softcore this would be a good map to start with.

The SoftCore mode is now implemented, you can turn it ON or OFF on your COOP or DIE profile page.
If you return to hardcore mode after played softcore, you must die one time before your modification was effective.
